HOLLYWOOD: Sarah Geismer will transition from her development duties at Fox 21 Television Studios to a new post as VP of comedy development at 20th Century Fox Television.

Geismer begins her new role July 25 and reports to Cheryl Dolins, who recently joined TCFTV as senior VP of comedy development. Geismer has spent the past seven years at the studio’s cable production arm. She’s overseen a mix of comedy and drama projects, including Maron, Sirens, The Comedians, Complications, Burn Notice, Graceland, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and the forthcoming Rocky Horror Picture Show for the FOX network.

“Sarah is a fantastic executive who is beloved both within the company and the community, so we couldn’t be happier to have her join our team at 20th,” commented 20th Century Fox Television’s executive VP of development, Michael Thorn. “She’s a smart, talented developer with great taste and creative judgement, and the perfect addition to our already formidable ranks. We owe Bert Salke a significant debt of gratitude for blessing the transition. He’s been incredibly generous.”
