ZDF Enterprises to Globally Distribute ZDF, BBC Historical Doc

MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises has secured worldwide distribution rights for the three-part documentary The Celts: Blood, Iron & Sacrifice from Gruppe 5.

The title examines the life and work of the tribes called “Celts” or “Gauls” by their enemies, whose homelands spanned from Spain, England and France to Slovenia and Anatolia. New archaeological findings offer a more precise picture of what life was like for these tribes. The third episode tells the story of the Celts’s last stand against the Roman army led by the warrior Queen Boudicca.

The documentary is produced by Gruppe 5 for BBC, ZDF/ARTE and ZDF Enterprises. A presenterless version of The Celts: Blood, Iron & Sacrifice will be completed prior to MIPCOM 2016.
