Worst Cooks in America Heads to New Markets

all3media international has landed new sales on the long-running factual-entertainment series Worst Cooks in America, including with Blue Ant in Canada.

From Optomen Productions, Worst Cooks in America has now aired in more than 180 territories worldwide. Discovery Latin America has renewed the show to have seasons 11, 12 and 13 air throughout the region. In Canada, Blue Ant’s T & E Channel picked up seasons 13 and 14. Seasons 11 and 12 are heading to Ananey in Israel, while season 12 was also picked up by the food-themed channel 24Kitchen in the Netherlands.

The 14th season of Worst Cooks in America debuted on Food Network in the U.S. in August, and seasons 15 and 16 are currently in production to air next year.

Maria Silver, president of Optomen USA, noted: “Over 100 episodes in, the steep learning curve of cooking continues to prove entertaining. At the heart of the format is pure comedy, and thanks to our stellar team—everyone from casting to our show hosts—the journey from kitchen disaster to master never fails to have viewers in stitches.”

Ceire Clark at all3media international commented: “We’re delighted to see this long-running hit continuing to prove popular around the world, with renewals and new broadcasters in key territories. Worst Cooks in America is a modern and absorbing food format full of entertainment and takeaway information for viewers, as those who can barely boil water, let alone boil an egg, are put on a fast-track culinary course from kitchen zeroes to kitchen heroes, in just 10 days.”
