LONDON: Scripps Networks Interactive has made two new original commissions for Travel Channel, with Olly Smith: Ale Trails and Take Me Home set to premiere in December across the U.K. and EMEA.

Olly Smith: Ale Trails, produced by Athena Films, is hosted by wine connoisseur, beer expert and TV personality Olly Smith. The series will document Smith’s journey in search of a variety of craft beers and delicious food to accompany them. It is set to launch on Travel Channel on December 15 across EMEA and December 17 in the U.K.

Produced by Greenberg Productions, Take Me Home will follow host and veteran CBS correspondent Peter Greenberg as he interviews top American talent from the film, television and music industries about the places they call home. The show will debut on Travel Channel on December 1 across EMEA and on December 3 in the U.K.

Both commissions are being done in association with Brand USA.

“We are delighted to once again be partnering with Brand USA on these two compelling series, which mark a significant step for Scripps Networks UK & EMEA as we continue to innovate around creating high-quality entertainment and lifestyle content,” said Kevin Dickie, the senior VP of channels for the U.K. and EMEA at Scripps Networks Interactive. “The collaboration with Brand USA not only provides them with a platform to reach a highly engaged audience across new channels, but also offers our viewers a lineup of excellent new programming, featuring favorite international and established Travel Channel personalities.”

“Our partnership with Scripps Networks continues to expand and enable us to reach the U.K. and EMEA audiences through exciting opportunities,” said Chris Thompson, the president and CEO of Brand USA. “We are proud to be associated with these two series; Olly Smith: Ale Trail showcases the successful U.S. Craft Beer Industry, while Take Me Home takes the audience to some of the most treasured places our renowned home grown talent have lived.”
