Spike Fills New Role for Original Series Team

NEW YORK: Spike has appointed Chaz Gray to its original series team as the channel’s executive producer of current, a newly created position.

Gray will work out of Los Angeles under Chachi Senior, Spike’s senior VP of original series. He will manage the production of a number of current shows, including Bar Rescue, Back to the Bar, Ink Master and Ink Master: Redemption, and will also contribute to the network’s forthcoming series launches.

Gray previously was an executive producer for various non-fiction reality programs, including Top Chef, 36 Hours and The Real Housewives of Orange County 100th Episode Special. He also has production credits on The Amazing Race, Last Comic Standing, Out of Egypt, Junkyard Wars and The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliot. In addition, he has served as an exec producer and director of development for Discovery Channel.

“Chaz is a seasoned producer in the non-fiction reality television world and we are excited for him to bring his experienced hand to our stable of series,” said Senior. “As Spike continues to grow and expand its audience, Chaz will be an integral part of our continued success.”
