Silverlining has named Rachel Job to the newly created role of director of acquisitions, effective immediately.

Job will be tasked with sourcing content for the distribution business while working alongside Managing Director Bethan Corney to broker co-production deals and secure presales within the U.K. and abroad. Prior to joining Silverlining, Job served as the director of programming for A+E Networks’ HISTORY and H2 channels across the U.K. and EMEA territories. Job will be based in London.

“I’ve always admired the way Bethan has built Silverlining into a first-rate, much-loved outfit and I am thrilled to be able to help grow and build relationships with the wonderful independent producers I respect so much,” said Job.

Corney commented: “The key to Silverlining’s offering is our editorial integrity, and commercial creativity gained from extensive broadcaster experience. Rachel is a class act with an instinct for what rates internationally, having commissioned and co-produced hundreds of hours of programs from docudramas and formats to talent-led specials and returnable series. I’m looking forward to us growing Silverlining together and extending the range of production finance and editorial services that we offer producers.”
