Lynn Sadofsky, a former National Geographic executive, has been hired by Scripps Networks Interactive as VP of programming and development for Food Network, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel.

In her new position, Sadofsky will collaborate with programmers to develop new series, manage show production and cultivate new talent. She will also be a senior liaison for the networks’ talent and production partners. She will work out of New York under Courtney White, the senior VP of programming for the three channels.

Previously, Sadofsky served as VP of production and development at National Geographic, where she produced and developed more than 100 hours of programming, including Wicked Tuna and Brain Games. She was also director of development and executive producer at Planet Green/Discovery Fit & Health. Among her many executive producer credits is Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, for which she won an Emmy and Producers Guild Award.

“As a respected and skilled leader in the industry, Lynn’s impressive career has spanned both the production and network side of the business,” said White. “I had the privilege of working alongside Lynn a few years ago and I was invigorated every day by her dedicated work ethic, attention to creative detail, strong management of talent and team, and her collaborative nature.”
