NEW YORK: Scripps Networks Interactive has appointed two regional directors to the international program licensing division.

Elise Ching was promoted to the post of director of program licensing for Asia, while Gerbrig Blanksma joins Scripps Networks as the director of program licensing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Both Ching and Blanksma will report to Hud Woodle, the VP of program licensing for international at Scripps Networks Interactive, who is based in New York City.

Based in Singapore, Ching joined Scripps Networks in 2013. In her new role, she is responsible for defining and executing the program sales growth strategy across Asia. Previously, as program acquisitions director, Ching was charged with identifying new programming and commissioning opportunities while supporting ad sales growth and business development goals across the region.

Blanksma is joining Scripps Networks at the end of the month and will be based in London. She will be responsible for creating a licensing strategy for new commercial opportunities, as well as identifying the potential for new business across EMEA. Blanksma comes to Scripps Networks from Off the Fence, where she most recently served as VP of sales and business development.

“I wanted to create a strong and dynamic team dedicated to expanding our reach around the world,” said Woodle. “Elise and Gerbrig bring extensive industry experience and key relationships with regional partners, which will be integral as we introduce our content and brands in untapped territories.”
