LONDON: Parade has snapped up the global distribution rights for more than 800 hours of home, food, garden, health and special-interest content from Australia’s H2 and Abode TV.

The entire catalog of lifestyle programming from H2 and Abode TV, which was previously handled by Short Attention, will now be managed internationally by Parade. The deal includes the distribution rights to such titles as Ready Set Reno, Everyday Health, Homes of the Rich and Famous and Luxury Toys, among others.

Matthew Ashcroft, Parade’s managing director, remarked: “We are delighted to be partnering with two of Australia’s most preeminent producers of lifestyle programming. H2 and Abode TV have produced some of the most successful and long-running series in the Australian market and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be representing their new and returning series internationally. We thank Tony and Mandy for the opportunity to pick up the baton and run on behalf of Leigh, Harry, Jason and Gary.”

Short Attention’s Mandy Entwistle noted: “We have enjoyed and been proud to have represented the premium lifestyle content produced by both HSquared and Abode TV over the last eight years. However, with a touch of sadness but excitement we feel that the timing is perfect to hand over the reins to Matt and his team at Parade Media as they build their presence in the international market. We feel that Parade is a great fit for this content and know that the transition from Short Attention to Parade Media with our existing and new clients will be handled seamlessly.”

Leigh Redlich, H2’s director, stated: “Over the past eight years Short Attention have been instrumental in bringing H2 programming to the international market. We are now delighted to begin a new partnership with Parade, who have already shown that they will represent our content with pride, passion and enthusiasm. In 2016-17 H2 have exciting plans to launch a range of new lifestyle programs that are custom-made for international audiences. With the support and resources of Parade behind us, we look forward to showcasing them to the world.”

Abode TV’s CEO, Gary Takle, added: “I’m really excited about handing over prized possessions to Matthew and his team. Looking forward to new frontiers and [it] is shaping up to be an adventurous journey.”
