Oxygen Media has scheduled the debut of the Soledad O’Brien-hosted series Mysteries & Scandals.

The 13-episode show will premiere on Oxygen on Friday, January 5, at 9 p.m. Using firsthand accounts, re-enactments and archival footage, the series investigates some of the most legendary crimes, murders and scandals that impacted pop culture. O’Brien will pull back the curtain on real crimes, giving viewers exclusive access to family members, friends, witnesses, detectives and jury members directly involved in each incident. She will explore celebrity tragedies such as the deaths of Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown and Anna Nicole Smith, as well as the crimes and punishments of O.J. Simpson, among others.

Mysteries & Scandals is produced by Wilshire Studios with Betsy Rott and O’Brien serving as executive producers.

“What an amazing opportunity to work with Oxygen on Mysteries & Scandals, reliving and retelling some of the biggest stories that captured national headlines,” said O’Brien. “Through never-before-seen interviews and meticulous fact-finding, we give viewers a fresh perspective.”
