Olympic Channel is due to debut Synchro Sisters, a new docudrama series focused on two competing synchronized swimming teams.

Synchro Sisters follows the fierce rivalry between the California-based synchronized swimming teams Aquamaids and Aquanuts, which are coached by Chris Carver and Gail Emery, respectively. The four-part show is scheduled to begin airing on Thursday, July 13, and will be available worldwide exclusively on Olympic Channel’s digital platform and mobile apps. It was produced by VICE Media.

“[The friendly rivalry] is all based on the desire to pursue excellence,” said Carver. “On a national level, Gail and I were fierce competitors. I wanted nothing more than to beat her. And she set the bar very, very high.”

“We have athletes at the National Training Centres from all over the U.S. and from very small clubs who are as good, if not better, as these two clubs,” added USA Synchro CEO and High Performance Director Myriam Glez.
