New VP of Development at Discovery Channel

LOS ANGELES: Discovery Channel has tapped Stephanie Angelides as VP of development.

In the role, Angelides will help guide the network’s strategic planning, content direction and execute programming strategies through the development process. Angelides is based in New York. She will report to Denise Contis, the executive VP of production and development for Discovery. Angelides joins Discovery from Riot Creative, a Leftfield Entertainment company, where she served as president.
