Fox Networks Group (FNG) Europe & Africa is launching the new nonlinear service National Geographic+, featuring a range of factual entertainment on-demand.

National Geographic+ will deliver exclusive access to the factual catalog of National Geographic, including short-form and 4K content, as well as scripted programs such as MARS, The Long Road Home and Genius. Through partnerships with black, a division of mobile operator Cell C, YouSee and the OTE Group for inclusion in COSMOTE TV, National Geographic+ will launch in South Africa, Denmark and Greece, with further deals to be announced in 2018.

The launch of National Geographic+ by FNG Europe & Africa follows the debut of FOX+ earlier in the year. That service is now available in nine countries across the region, with more launches planned for 2018.

“Consumers are at the heart of our nonlinear services; people are used to marathon viewing for scripted, but there hasn’t been a simple and effective way to offer similar experiences within factual,” said Jan Koeppen, the president of Fox Networks Group Europe & Africa. “At National Geographic, we are passionate about taking our viewers further, to encourage exploration and a better understanding of the world in which we all live. By introducing National Geographic+, we are combining our 129 years of visual storytelling with our rich history of product innovation to ensure that factual stands out in the on-demand world.”
