LL Cool J On Board MSNBC Docuseries Story of Cool

American rapper/actor LL Cool J is serving as an executive producer on Story of Cool, a three-part documentary series that is due to debut next month on MSNBC.

Story of Cool reflects on what Americans have considered to be “cool” over the years. The show will feature interviews with such special guests as Ice Cube, James Corden, DMC, Kierna Mayo, Shepard Fairey, Maverick Carter and Malcolm Gladwell. The first hour-long episode premieres on Sunday, July 1, at 9 p.m.

Story of Cool was created by Jonathan Gruber and Tom Cohen. It is produced by Part2 Pictures, Getty Images and LL Cool J Inc. Executive producing alongside LL Cool J are David Shadrack Smith and Amy Bucher for Part2, Gene Foca for Getty Images, as well as Gruber and Cohen.
