Lionsgate Taps DCP Exec for Alternative Programming Role

SANTA MONICA/VANCOUVER: Ted Bookstaver has been hired at Lionsgate in the newly created position of senior VP of alternative programming sales.

Bookstaver, a 20-year industry veteran, will be looking after the licensing of Lionsgate’s slate of alternative programming to broadcast, cable and digital platforms around the world. Prior to joining Lionsgate, Bookstaver was the VP of international distribution at dick clark productions. Before that, he was senior VP and head of Americas at Shine International. He also previously led the global distribution efforts at Eyeworks International Distribution.

“Ted is an experienced sales and distribution executive and an adept strategist with great relationships throughout the international marketplace,” said Lionsgate’s executive VP of alternative programming, Jennifer O’Connell. “He is ideally qualified to extend the rapid growth of our alternative programming roster into fresh opportunities worldwide.”
