Investigation Discovery (ID) has commissioned Arrow Media to produce the new true-crime show Hear No Evil, a sister series to See No Evil.
Hear No Evil uses authentic audio from the scene of a crime to chronicle the sequence of events that ultimately led to murder. The 6×60-minute program features recordings captured by the victim’s families, perpetrator’s friends, investigators and even the killers themselves. There are also first-person testimonies, dramatic reconstructions, video clips and graphics.
For Arrow Media, co-founder Tom Brisley serves as creative director, with Sam Starbuck as executive producer and Tom Keeling as series producer. For ID, Liz Massie is exec producing, Sara Kozak is senior VP of production, Kevin Bennett is general manager and Henry Schleiff is group president of ID, American Heroes Channel and Destination America.
Brisley stated: “The fear of the unknown is one of the most powerful instincts we have. By building the series around audio rather than visual elements we are letting the viewer’s own imagination and instinctive fear of the unknown come to the fore.
