PARIS: About Premium Content (APC) has placed its first two factual programs, including the documentary Freightened, with broadcasters worldwide.

Freightened, produced by La Compagnie des Taxi‐Brousse and Polar Star Films, was acquired by YLE in Finland, RTBF in Belgium, Austria’s ORF, Rai 1 in Italy, Spain’s Odisea (AMC Networks International – Iberia), TVB in Hong Kong and Planète+ Poland (NC+). Written and directed by Denis Delestrac (Sand Wars), Freightened goes behind the scenes of the sea-shipping business, an unregulated industry that impacts both the global economy and the environment.

APC, a Nevision company, also inked sales for Dream the Future, comprised of ten stand-alone episodes that explore the future through themes such as health, home, food, transportation and fashion. Dream the Future was acquired by Explora (Radio-Canada) in Canada, Vietnam’s VTV, First HD in Russia, Hong Kong’s TVB, Odisea in Spain, France’s CANALPLAY, Servus for German-speaking territories, RSI in Switzerland and Planète+ Poland. It is produced by Update Productions and Bonne Pioche. English-language episodes are now available.

Laurent Boissel, joint CEO and co-founder of APC, said, “APC continues to set the bar, representing world-class factual filmmaking with universal themes that have worldwide appeal. These international sales speak volumes about the ongoing demand for quality documentaries across the globe.”
