FremantleMedia North America Strengthens Unscripted Team

FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) has bolstered its unscripted team through two new hires, including an MTV alum, as well as a promotion.

Seasoned TV executive Colin Nash joins FMNA from MTV. He takes on the post of senior VP of alternative programming and development. His focus will be on streaming and digital partners.

Joni Day was elevated to the post of senior VP of alternative programming and development. Day has been with FremantleMedia for the past five years, overseeing development and production of reality competitions, game shows and other unscripted programming. In her new role, Day will focus on identifying global formats for broadcast.

Additionally, Jean Shi was named VP of alternative programming and development. In this position, Shi will be tasked with developing and selling original unscripted series, with a focus on global formats for cable and an emphasis on attracting the best talent for each project.

“With Colin and Jean joining the team, along with Joni’s expanding role, we have assembled an all-star team,” said Jayson Dinsmore, the president of alternative programming and development. “Each of these individuals comes with a diverse background and brings a unique skill set to the table that complements our goal of creating entertaining and compelling content for every platform.”
