FOX Lines Up Reality Dating Series from Mark Burnett

LOS ANGELES: FOX has ordered the first-ever unscripted dating series from eight-time Emmy Award-winning executive producer Mark Burnett, whose credits include Survivor and The Voice.

The series is slated to premiere this year and will be set in the Caribbean. The program will see single men and women matched up based on their instant chemistry, taking the concept of modern digital romance to the next level. The couples will then discover whether they can make their relationships last beyond the initial attraction.

“I am so happy to be making my first dating series with FOX,” said Burnett. “It’s a genre that attracts a wide audience and our series gives a very fresh perspective that mirrors real life.”

The untitled series is produced by MGM Television and Grandma’s House Entertainment. It is created and executive produced by Burnett, Ben Newmark, Dan Newmark and Larry Barron. MGM serves as the worldwide distributor of the series outside of the U.S. and Canada. Burnett has produced more than 3,200 hours of TV programming that airs regularly in 70-plus countries worldwide.
