Escapade Picks Up New Steve Backshall Series

SYDNEY: Escapade Media has secured worldwide rights, outside of the U.K., for Steve Backshall: The Vertical Mile, a three-part factual series that see the naturalist climbing the north face of the Eiger.

The Vertical Mile offers broadcasters either the series or the live and interactive event. Viewers can follow the three-day climb via a live stream and through virtual reality with 360-degree filming from the cliff face and daily highlights. This includes the ability to send messages, questions and see instant updates. The climb will also be available as a 3×1-hour series.
