Discovery to Bow Second Free-to-Air Channel in the U.K.

LONDON: Discovery is launching its second free-to-air channel in the U.K., Quest Red, on March 15, positioning the service as the “home of irresistibly real TV.”

Discovery Networks UK has secured carriage for the new service with Freeview, YouView, BT TV, Talk Talk, Sky and Virgin Media. The network will launch with a slate of U.K. premieres, with initial titles such as Is OJ Innocent? The Missing Evidence, Jo Frost: Nanny on Tour, Long Lost Family, Martin Kemp’s Detective and Vogue Williams Investigates.

The female-skewing Quest Red joins Discovery Networks UK’s male-skewing fact-ent free-to-air channel Quest.
