LOS ANGELES: Discovery Channel has elevated Craig Coffman to senior VP of production and development for motor content.

Coffman’s duties will expand to include creating and developing Discovery’s top-rated motor programming. He currently manages the network’s hit motor series, including Fast N’ Loud, Street Outlaws: New Orleans and Diesel Brothers. He is based in Los Angeles and will continue to work under Denise Contis, Discovery Channel’s executive VP of development and production.

Throughout his career, Coffman has created hundreds of hours of TV programming and has served as executive producer, director and writer for several series on Nat Geo, TLC, HISTORY, Food Network and more. During the 1990s, he owned the New York-based production company DVTV.

“Craig is a gifted storyteller and has a deep knowledge about the motor industry like no one else,” said Contis. “He continues to create motor programming that is not just informative, but entertaining. He knows what resonates with viewers and continues to create some of the top-rated motor shows on television.”
