LOS ANGELES: Critical Content and Electus International have scored a U.K. broadcast deal for the true-crime event series The Case Of: Jonbenét Ramsey, which re-examines the high-profile murder case of the 6-year-old beauty queen.

The 2×2-hour docuseries premiered on CBS in the U.S. earlier this year, and was also broadcast in Canada (Global TV) and Australia (Channel 9). The special examines some of the confounding details of the case, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Ramsey’s tragic death. The series features some of the original case investigators, as well as new experts reviewing the case, including former New Scotland Yard criminal behavioral analyst Laura Richards and retired FBI supervisory special agent and statement analyst Stan Burke. Channel 4’s More 4 will give the limited event series its U.K. premiere.

Tom Forman at Critical Content said: “The story of the Ramsey family is one that is familiar to millions, arguably one of the most well-known cold cases in recent history. Tapping into both the appetite for true-crime programming as well as a genuine quest for the truth, this docuseries has recaptured the attention of the world.”
