Channel 4 Orders Ivanka Trump Doc

Channel 4 in the U.K. has commissioned a documentary focused on Ivanka Trump, the oldest daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, from ITN Productions.

The hour-long production, tentatively titled Ivanka Trump: America’s Real First Lady, looks on as Matt Frei travels to the U.S. to investigate the 35-year-old’s relationship with her father and influence on his presidency. It is directed by Lesley Gardiner and will premiere on Channel 4 in the U.K. next month.

Tom Porter, who commissioned the doc, remarked: “President Trump’s daughter has emerged as a major force in his administration and increasingly, it would seem, in world politics. Matt Frei’s razor-sharp insight allows this entertaining film to analyze what makes Ivanka tick and ultimately ask, could this be the first female president in training?”

Adam Vandermark, executive producer for ITN Productions, added: “It’s clear President Trump invests a lot of trust in Ivanka, along [with] her husband Jared Kushner.
