Sundog Pictures has been commissioned by Channel 4 to make the Mary Portas-hosted What Britain Bought in 2018.

Previously, Sundog worked with Portas on Barbie: The Most Famous Doll in the World, What Britain Earns and What Britain Buys—all for Channel 4. What Britain Bought in 2018 will be the fourth iteration of the What Britain Bought format.

What Britain Bought in 2018 will examine the U.K.’s passions, fashions, fads and faux pas from the past 12 months. Portas will use these shopping habits to hold up a cultural mirror to the nation. Katie Buchanan, the creative director for Sundog Pictures, is an executive producer on the project.

“From Morgan Freeman to Brian Cox, Priyanka Chopra to David Baddiel, Sundog has developed a reputation for working with extraordinary talent,” said Buchanan. “Mary is one of the few presenters with the insight and accessibility to bring the retail world alive for viewers. Her experience of brands and the high street means she has a view unlike most others. We are delighted to be continuing our relationship with Mary, not only on this but on other new projects, too.”
