BBCWW Notches Up Blue Planet II Sales

A host of presales have been secured for BBC Worldwide’s Blue Planet II, which is premiering at MIPCOM, with new deals across Europe, among other markets.

The seven-part natural history production, presented by Sir David Attenborough, will premiere at MIPCOM on October 16. Deals have been sealed with Nine Network in Australia, DR in Denmark, NPO in the Netherlands, SVT Sweden, Telefonica’s BBC Earth block in Spain, TVNZ, Blue Ant Media’s BBC Earth in Canada, RTP in Portugal, ETV in Estonia and LRT in Lithuania. Previously announced sales include Discovery Channel for Latin America and co-production partnerships with BBC America, Germany’s WDR and France Télévisions. Sony BBC Earth in India and BBC Earth channels across Africa, Nordics, Asia and CEE will also be premiering the series. The show has presold to more than 30 markets.
