LONDON: BBC Worldwide is working with online talents Samantha and Nicola Chapman, a.k.a. Pixiwoo, for Pixiwoo Presents Painted Ladies: Icons (working title), a feature-length authored documentary.

This will be Pixiwoo’s first long-form project. The blogging and vlogging stars have made their name with celebrity make-up tutorials on their YouTube channel, Pixiwoo. The channel has some 2 million subscribers.

The project, which will be produced by 7 Wonder, will see Sam and Nic charting the history of modern makeup by exploring the icons whose style defined their eras.

Sam said: “We’re honored, and so excited to be working with the BBC on this, a dream project for us. From the idea through to production, this has truly been our baby. We’re hugely proud of Painted Ladies and can’t wait for our audience to get their hands on it.”

Nic added: “To me these are icons that never date; their looks have inspired not only myself but make up all over the world. I feel honored that I get to share our discoveries with everyone and fulfill my dream at the same time.”
