A+E Networks is launching Save It or Sell It, a documentary special that focuses on struggling small businesses in America.

The hour-long special premieres November 5 on A&E. This will be followed by premieres across A+E Networks’ enthusiast blocks on HISTORY and A&E as well as FYI.

The linear premiere of Save It or Sell It is part of a larger small-business initiative across A+E Networks’ digital and social platforms that profiles innovative entrepreneurs and small-business owners who are taking their creative ideas to the next level in pursuit of the American Dream. The concept for Save It or Sell It was an original idea developed in collaboration with Tongal client Tom Duncan, CEO of Positec Tool Corporation. Tongal will develop digital content to support the series and leverage its network to cast new businesses for future episodes.

Christian Murphy, the senior VP of daytime and programming partnerships at A+E Networks, said: “A+E Networks has a rich history of storytelling in this space, with some of our longest-running hit shows built around small businesses—shows like Pawn Stars, American Pickers, Storage Wars and many more. The stories and characters we find in small business are so engaging and relatable to our audiences, we felt this opportunity and unique partnership was an important one to pursue.”

“We are so proud to partner with A+E Networks on this series and shine a light on the amazing stories of entrepreneurs across the country,” said James DeJulio, co-founder and chief creative officer of Tongal. “Save It or Sell It highlights the unlimited potential of small businesses and provides an incredible platform to elevate entrepreneurs and innovators while, at the same time, educate people on what it really takes to build something from the ground up.”
