MIAMI: Uruguay’s Teledoce has nabbed Globo’s Precious Pearl, which last year won the International Emmy for best telenovela.

The 110×1-hour novela is slated to air on the free-TV channel in the 7 p.m. time slot starting January 26. It replaces Caribbean Flower, another Globo title. The novela features a love story between a factory worker and a millionaire, and also follows the story of their daughter.

Precious Pearl has also aired in Portugal, on that country’s basic Globo channel.
