Globo Launches Youth-Skewed Novela Young Hearts

Globo has launched to the international market Young Hearts: Embrace Diversity, a youth-skewed telenovela that has been averaging around 28 million viewers with its broadcasts in Brazil.

Young Hearts features a story about five young girls from different backgrounds who meet by chance and develop a strong friendship, overcoming social and cultural differences. The show is set in São Paulo and the plot addresses the importance of respecting each other’s differences.

Scenes were shot in some of São Paulo’s landmarks and at Globo Studios in Rio de Janeiro, where a 6,620 square-meter scenic city was built featuring two schools, buildings, houses, bars and even a subway station, among other sets.
