Azteca’s Cielo Rojo to Debut in Spain

MEXICO CITY: Following a deal with Comarex, Azteca’s hit telenovela Cielo Rojo will premiere today on Spain’s TVE 1.

Cielo Rojo, which launched in Mexico on Azteca in May 2011, will air on the Spanish network from Monday to Friday. It has been sold to more than 35 countries. The series, starring Edith Gonzalez and Mauricio Islas, is directed by Mauricio Meneses and produced by Rafael Urióstegui. The novela is about reunited lovers who must overcome obstacles to be together again.

Marcel Vinay Jr., the CEO of Comarex, said, “We are delighted to see Cielo Rojo on such an important channel like TVE and we are confident that the Spanish viewers will enjoy this wonderful story that has been a worldwide success.”
