Viewers in Southern Africa will have access to TRACE Africa, which features music videos of contemporary Southern African hits, as well as exclusive specials and documentaries. TRACE Mziki is a channel in Swahili and English that is dedicated to East African music, including Kenyan sounds, Bongo Flavas, Uganda top ten and Tanzania urban acts. The third channel, TRACE Naija, features music from West Africa such as Afrobeats, Afropop and Hip Life music. The new channels will air on DStv.

TRACE’s CEO, Olivier Laouchez, said, “TRACE is already the leading music brand in Africa. These three new localized music channels will help promote more artists from the three biggest music hubs of Africa and they will better serve the strong need of the local audiences for great local content.”
