SPI Channels Relaunch on Play in Nigeria

SPI’s channels have relaunched on Play in Nigeria following the platform’s rebranding from Consat.

Now offered on Play are the movie channels FilmBox and FilmBox Arthouse, the martial arts network FightBox and the sports channel Fast&FunBox. There is also the documentary channel DocuBox, the fashion-focused FashionBox, the international music network 360TuneBox, and eSports and interactive games channel GameBox. Play is available in Nigeria and Ghana, and the lineup in Ghana will also include the adult channel Erox.

“This most recent relaunch of our channels by Play in Nigeria clearly demonstrates SPI’s ability to deliver unique and top-quality content that viewers in the West African region find attractive,” said Amit Karni, SPI’s head of distribution for Africa. “We truly appreciate Play’s commitment to rebrand Consat and relaunch our channels as part of the new service.”

“Play, formerly known as Consat, has rebranded and this has made way for more exciting channels on our television platform,” added Funmi Adenaike, the general manager at Play. “Play is being positioned as a youth-friendly brand, which is playing in a league that has been recognized as highly competitive, a league with endless opportunities. Play focuses on delivering content and world-class channels for both domestic and global audiences. This is one of the reasons we have launched SPI’s channels.”
