DISCOP Johannesburg 2017 is introducing The Next Gen Program, which is specifically designed to target film, TV and digital content producers and aims to help them improve their pitching, networking and business skills.

Running parallel to the market and open to all registered delegates, The Next Gen Program will feature speakers and experts from major corporations, smaller companies and select start-ups, both on stage and in discussions and workshops. There will also be peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

The program will provide delegates with direct access to information on alternative distribution and funding opportunities; virtual reality content production, funding and distribution; expanding relations between Francophone and Anglophone Africa; and more. Highlights include the Animation Unites Africa panel discussion and a session presented by Ariane Suveg, senior programming and acquisition manager for Turner Kids’ channels in Africa.

“The Next Gen Program 2017 will raise the bar with highly informative panel discussions, valuable masterclasses and insightful branded presentations,” said DISCOP Sidebar Programs Director Gert Botes. “The program includes top African and international experts in their respective fields and promises to be a highlight of the event.”
