Fremantle’s Coty Cagliolo, Dopamine’s Fidela Navarro, The Mediapro Studio’s Catalina Porto and BBC Studios’ Karina Dolgiej joined Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, editor of TV Latina, at MIP Cancun today for the panel MIP Cancun Talk: Women at the Helm.

The panel MIP Cancun Talk: Women at the Helm, with Fremantle’s Coty Cagliolo, Dopamine’s Fidela Navarro, The Mediapro Studio’s Catalina Porto and BBC Studios’ Karina Dolgiej, will be moderated by Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, editor of TV Latina.

Fidela Navarro, CEO of Dopamine, talks about the challenges faced since the company’s launch, the factors that are considered when looking for partners and the appeal of countries like Mexico for the development of original productions.

During a MIP Cancun panel titled Ficción histórica: Hernán un caso de estudio, which explored the epic series Hernán and was moderated by TV Latina's Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, Dopamine CEO Fidela Navarro called on the industry to invest more in original productions, in a conversation that also featured showrunners Julián de Tavira and Curro Royo and HISTORY's Miguel Brailovsky.

Turner Latin America and Dopamine have struck up a partnership to develop and produce three original series this year.

Spanish screenwriter Amaya Muruzábal and Mexican executive producer Gabriela Valentán have joined Grupo Salinas’s Dopamine.
