The biographical series, co-produced with Netflix, charts the life of singing legend Luis Miguel, also known as El Sol de México. The debut on Telemundo in the U.S. saw some 22,000 comments on Facebook and Twitter.
#AnittaEntrouNoGrupo on Multishow in Brazil garnered approximately 21,000 comments on social media. In every episode of the musical entertainment show, singer Anitta receives two guests from the entertainment world for musical games and challenges.
Bake Off Argentina, El Gran Pastelero premiered on Telefe in Argentina to around 18,000 tweets. The local adaptation of the format The Great Bake Off sees amateur bakers put their skills to the test.
Around 17,000 tweets were sent surrounding the premiere of Onde Nascem os Fortes on TV Globo in Brazil. The telenovela is set in the fictional town of Sertão and follows the story of a twin sister who’s ready to do anything to avenge the death of her brother.
Mexicana Universal on Azteca 1 in Mexico drew some 15,000 comments on social media. The reality series follows the destiny of a group of 32 attractive female candidates from different states of Mexico dreaming of representing the country at the next edition of Miss Universe. A candidate is eliminated every week after performing challenges given by the jury until there are only six contenders left. One of them is voted by the public during the grand finale.
The debut of MasterChef Paraguay on Telefuturo saw around 7,000 comments. The local adaptation of the format MasterChef follows as a team of three experts sets out to find the best local gourmet chef among a group of 18 amateur cooks.
Mexico’s Las Estrellas premiered Y mañana será otro día…mejor to around 7,000 Facebook and Twitter comments. A local adaptation of the telenovela Cuenta conmigo, this romantic comedy tells the story of a 40-year-old woman who devoted her life to her work and her boss, to the detriment of her private life…until she seriously questions her priorities.
América TV in Peru premiered El artista del año and around 6,000 tweets accompanied the debut. The entertainment show pits 10 celebrities in a singing contest.
Rede Band in Brazil launched Agora é com Datena, which also garnered around 6,000 tweets. The variety entertainment show is based on games, performances and interviews with celebrities.
There were some 3,000 social media comments about the debut of Exatlón Colombia on Canal RCN. The local adaptation of the adventure competition Exathlon sees two teams made up of five men and five women sent to a paradise island for 13 weeks to compete in a combination of extreme circuits and 10 different sports.
