Fremantle Sells 100-Plus Hours Throughout LatAm

Fremantle has inked eight new deals in Latin America for more than 100 hours of drama, entertainment, factual and lifestyle programming.

Headed to Nat Geo are the docuseries Manson: The Lost Tapes and In Search Of. AMC’s drama package for Europa Europa includes Man in an Orange Shirt, Against the Law and A Family Tale.

The dramas Picnic at Hanging Rock and Butterfly were licensed by DIRECTV, along with the factual series Pope: The Most Powerful Man in History. SVOD platform Multivision acquired the rights for the dramas Hard Sun, Mafia Only Kills in Summer and Capital.

Debuting this week on A+E Networks’ Lifetime is Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You. Sony renewed their agreement for the upcoming season of American Idol.

Globosat in Brazil is slated to air a variety of lifestyle content, including Jamie Cooks Italy and Jamie’s Italian Christmas, as well as two seasons of Jimmy & Jamie’s Food Fight Club, the second installment of Jamie’s Quick & Easy Food and Nigella at My Table: Christmas Special.

Meanwhile, the Dominican Republic is getting a local version of Got Talent from East Coast, with the adaptation slated for broadcast on Telesistema.
