MIAMI: Cristina Schwarz has returned to Univision as the new VP of programming and production for Univision Cable Networks.

Schwarz will report to Jessica Rodriguez, the senior VP of Univision Cable Networks, and Sebastian Trujillo, the senior VP and operating manager for Galavisión. Schwarz left Univision in 2005 and has since then operated her own company, CSLR, a consultancy for international media companies. CSLR worked with U.S. cable and satellite companies and on projects in Argentina, Colombia and the Dominican Republic. Schwarz also previously served as the VP and general manager for three New York television stations within the Univision Television Group, in addition to leading sales teams for Univision and Telemundo networks.

“I am pleased to welcome Cristina back to the Univision family,” said Rodriguez. “For 17 years, Cristina worked for Univision in the New York market in many capacities, including production and sales. Her depth of experience, combined with her personal knowledge about the Univision audience, makes her the perfect choice to help us build on our success at Univision Cable Networks as we look to grow and hone in on our audiences’ passion points.”
