ZDFE On Board New Jonathan M. Shiff Project

ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE) has signed on to co-produce and internationally distribute The Bureau of Magical Things, a new TV project from Jonathan M. Shiff Productions (H20: Just Add Water).

The Bureau of Magical Things stars Kimie Tsukakoshi (The Family Law) as a regular teen girl who acquires magical powers after getting caught up in a clash between an elf and a fairy. The 20×26-minute production begins filming in Australia this month. ZDF is also serving as co-producer and will be the broadcaster in Germany. The Bureau of Magical Things has been presold to Network Ten for a debut on Channel 11.

Nicole Keeb, the head of international co-productions and acquisitions for children and youth at ZDF, commented: “The long and trustful partnership with Jonathan M. Shiff Productions (JMSP) allows us to reinvent new storylines and characters with every project. This enables us to use our experiences and morph them into something completely fresh and exciting. Each series is tailor-made for ZDF’s audience.”

Arne Lohmann, the VP of ZDFE.junior at ZDF Enterprises, added: “We have been co-producing and distributing with JMSP for almost 20 years. This award-winning content is loved by an audience of hundreds of millions worldwide. We are proud to be part of this success story.”
