Executives from YouTube and Viacom Africa have joined the speaker lineup for this year’s Children’s Global Media Summit (CGMS), taking place in Manchester from December 5 to 7.

Malik Ducard, the global head of family and learning at YouTube, and Alex Okosi, the senior VP and managing director at Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa, will each address delegates at CGMS 2017. The event, which is curated by the BBC, will focus on such themes as education, empowerment, entertainment, innovation and freedom.

Alice Webb, chair of CGMS 2017, commented: “We’re thrilled to add two such prestigious names to our Summit program, as global brands like YouTube and MTV have a huge part to play in young people’s digital experience.

“Both Malik and Alex will offer invaluable insight to delegates as we launch the conversation about how to shape our industry in the next few years.”
