DHX Television’s Sarah Haasz Joins Youth Media Alliance Board

MONTREAL: Sarah Haasz, the director of original production for DHX Television, has been appointed to the Youth Media Alliance board of directors.

Haasz takes over from Michael Goldsmith, the director of original programming at DHX Television. At DHX Television, Haasz oversees the creative aspects of development and production for Family Channel, CHRGD, Family Jr. and Télémagino, including series and movies such as The Next StepLost & Found Music Studios, Backstage, Gaming Show, Playdate and Justin Time.

She has more than 20 years of experience in TV production and her credits include 2,500-plus hours of kids’ programming across a range of genres.

The Youth Media Alliance board of directors also includes Co-Chairs Guillaume Aniorté of Frima Studio and J.J. Johnson of Sinking Ship Entertainment, Treasurer Vince Commisso of 9 Story Media Group and Secretary Michele Paris of Knowledge and BBC Kids. Other members are Judith Beauregard of Tobo, Frank Falcone of Guru Studio, Athena Georgaklis of Nelvana, Laurent Guérin of Groupe Média TFO, Madeleine Lévesque of Sardine Productions, Ira Levy of Breakthrough Entertainment, Marie McCann of Kids’ CBC, Peter Moss of PDM Entertainment and Alexandra Raffé of Thunderbird Entertainment.
