World Screen Unveils 2016 Kids’ Content Trendsetters

NEW YORK: World Screen and TV Kids are teaming with Reed MIDEM to present the second-annual Kids’ Content Trendsetter Awards at MIPJunior, recognizing CANAL+’s Laurence Blaevoet, CBBC’s Sarah Muller, Disney XD’s Marc Buhaj and Amazon Studios’s Tara Sorensen.

The Kids’ Content Trendsetter Awards honor executives for bold, innovative choices in children’s programming. This year’s honorees are Blaevoet, the head of children’s channels at CANAL+; Muller, creative director of scripted, animation and co-productions at CBBC; Buhaj, the senior VP of programming and general manager at Disney XD; and Sorensen, the head of kids’ programming at Amazon Studios.

These executives will each receive a Kids’ Content Trendsetter Award at the end of the What Do Channels and Platforms Want? session at MIPJunior on Saturday, October 15. This session will see the honorees discussing their acquisition and co-production strategies in conversation with Anna Carugati, World Screen’s group editorial director.
