Universal Kids is due to debut the original live-action comedy Greenfields, which is being internationally distributed by DHX Media, later this year.

Created by Derek Harvie, Greenfields follows an 11-year-old boy and his friends as they run a start-up out of his parents’ garage. The 20×30-minute show is produced by Six Eleven Media in association with DHX Television’s Family Channel in Canada. It is slated to premiere on both channels in fall 2018.

“We know that kids are seeking out innovative storytelling that reflects shared experiences,” said Deirdre Brennan, the general manager of Universal Kids. “Greenfields is a salute to today’s kids—fearless, smart, diverse dreamers who are tech-savvy and loyal to friends and families. It’s the perfect complement to Universal Kids’ scripted entertainment for kids 6 to 12.”

“We’re delighted that Universal Kids are featuring Greenfields as part of their fall lineup,” added Josh Scherba, the executive VP of content and distribution at DHX Media. “From the talented producers at Six Eleven Media, this clever, funny show is just the sort of entertainment that today’s enterprising kids are going to want to tune in to watch.”
