NEW YORK: 4K Media has signed theatrical distribution agreements for the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions movie in Europe and beyond.

The film will be released by Madman Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand in early 2017. It will open on February 1, 2017 in the U.K. and Ireland through a deal with Manga Entertainment. Dynit is bringing the movie to Italy, San Marino and Monte Carlo on March 10, while Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions is coming to Germany and Austria early next year, with KSM having come on board.

These deals come on the heels of the previously announced agreement with Screenvision Media, which will distribute the film to more than 500 theaters across the U.S. and Canada. The feature film will be released across the U.S. on January 27, 2017 for a two-week limited-time engagement. It will premiere in New York City on January 24. 4K Media manages the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand outside of Asia and is conducting a sweepstakes to give fans the opportunity to attend the premiere in New York City.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions features all-new designs from the original creator of the brand, Kazuki Takahashi. Yugi Muto, Seto Kaiba and their friends Joey Wheeler, Tristan Taylor, Téa Gardner and Bakura return for fresh adventures.

Kristen Gray, 4K Media’s senior VP of operations, business and legal affairs, said, “With these partnerships, Yu-Gi-Oh! fans around the globe will be able to experience Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions on the big screen. We are pleased to be partnering with companies that are well-versed in the distinctions of releasing anime theatrically and that understand both their local audiences and the unique interests of our anime fans.”
