LONDON: Turner is premiering the brand-new original series The Happos Family on Boomerang next month.

The Happos Family is the first Boomerang original to be created by Turner EMEA. The 20×2-minute non-dialogue shorts will air on Boomerang channels worldwide from October 2016, starting with EMEA and Asia Pacific. The Happos characters will also appear across a range of interactive digital platforms, including YouTube.

The show follows a family of Happos living in an enclosure in a European safari park. After the human visitors leave the park for the day, the Happos jump out of the mud and have zany adventures. Each episode centers on one of ten costumed Happos, including Astro Happo, who longs to fly to the moon, and Stunt Happo, who attempts a daredevil feat. The Happos Family was created in partnership with Italian corporation Ferrero and U.K. animation company Spider Eye.

Patricia Hidalgo, the senior VP and chief content and creative officer of Turner EMEA and international kids’ strategy, commented, “The Happos Family is a great demonstration of our commitment to bringing high-quality, new content to Boomerang, as we continue to build the brand as a second flagship to Cartoon Network and invest in original production for both channels both here in the U.K. and internationally. We’re excited to have joined forces with Ferrero, who really share the heritage family values that Boomerang and its audience represents, and Spider Eye, who did a great job with the animation.”
