DHX Brands has teamed up with Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense to create Teletubbies-themed classes for preschoolers in the U.K.

The initiative was developed by parenting expert and author Dr. Lin Day in consultation with DHX Brands. The classes, which are expected to reach an estimated 35,000 preschoolers, will feature a Teletubbies lesson plan that highlights the developmental benefits of play.

The activity sessions will take place for one week, from September 24 to 28, 2018. The Teletubbies Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense Tubby Playtime sessions are intended to fully immerse babies and toddlers in a world of color, fun and creativity. The new lesson plan will take children on a unique and exciting learning adventure with the Teletubbies, exploring musical instruments and gaining important abilities such as listening skills, a sense of rhythm and hand-eye coordination.

“We are thrilled to be collaborating on these Teletubbies-themed early-learning classes, which have been customized by Dr. Day for Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense,” said Charlotte Hill, the brand director at DHX Brands. “The Teletubbies are hugely popular among preschool children and Dr. Day brings with her a wealth of knowledge on early childhood development. We are confident these classes will provide a world of imagination and fun for babies and toddlers, helping them gain important skills while reinforcing the message to parents that playing with their child is vital for future learning.”

“I love the Teletubbies,” said Dr. Day. “They have all the essential principles that appeal to young children, from soft, velvety bodies to happy faces, interesting features, colors and repetitive sounds. The Teletubbies inspire active, fun, imaginative play and they have huge learning benefits for babies and toddlers.”
