DHX Television has picked up the first two seasons of Media I.M.’s preschool series Sunny Bunnies.

Sunny Bunnies is slated to launch in July on DHX Television’s French- and English-language preschool networks, Télémagino and Family Jr. The agreement supports the launch of Sunny Bunnies toys in Canada this fall. Additionally, the first and second seasons of the show are headed to Brazil through an exclusive pay-TV deal with Globosat’s Gloobinho.

Sunny Bunnies is currently available in Brazil via its YouTube channel and on the PlayKids SVOD app. The brand also secured a new exclusive representation deal with Vertical Licensing in Brazil. Under the deal, Vertical will represent Sunny Bunnies across all key L&M product categories, aiming to launch toys, books and other products throughout 2019. Sunny Bunnies is now on air in more than 160 territories.

Alexandre Volpi, the CEO of Vertical Licensing, said, “We are very proud to have this funny and colorful brand on board. With Sunny Bunnies’ comprehensive presence across TV and digital platforms, we’re already at a great advantage. The content is amazing and I am sure the characters will be loved by Brazilian children. We are looking forward to working closely with Media I.M. to make Sunny Bunnies one of the biggest preschool brands in our market.”

Media I.M. co-founder Irina Nazarenko, commented, “In the two years since its launch, Sunny Bunnies now has a global reach of over 160 territories with licensing deals in the U.S., Europe and Latin America with the rollout of the first-ever merchandise in late 2018. We’ve fallen in love with the Bunnies as characters and also of course as a phenomenal brand story. We really can’t wait to see them bouncing off the shelves of key retailers in North America and Australia.”
