Mondo TV has licensed the second season of Sissi the Young Empress to the children’s pay-TV channel JeemTV through a three-year deal with beIN.

The agreement covers all TV and digital rights and will see an Arabic-language version of the show launch in all Arabic-speaking countries. A third season of Sissi the Young Empress is already in production.

The licensing campaign has already brought toys, books, magazines, puzzles and board games, confectionery, personal care products and more to retail. A Dress Up Your Sissi game app was also rolled out.

Matteo Corradi, Mondo TV’s CEO, said, “The continuing positive response to Sissi the Young Empress is proof that great storytelling and romance with a touch of magic are still a winning combination. We are delighted to be able to announce this sale to a major broadcaster in its region with a strong reach. Sissi has now sold into more than 40 countries and its audience continues to grow.”
