TORONTO: Sinking Ship Entertainment has licensed the fourth season of the hit design show Giver to Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) for national broadcast, and Knowledge Network for British Columbia.

To commemorate Canada’s 150th birthday next year, Giver’s fourth installment will feature the construction of the largest playground in Ottawa, with children volunteering from around the country. The 50,000-square-foot playground will be shaped like Canada and will have a different play space representing each of the country’s provinces and territories. An official opening ceremony celebration will take place on Canada Day in July 2017.

The 10×30-minute fourth season of Giver is produced in association with TVO. It will see Dominique “Mique” Boisvenue joining as the new art host alongside presenter Michael Lagimodiere. The new season is due to debut on TVO, APTN and Knowledge Network next year.
