Shout! Inks Home Entertainment Deal for Ladybug Series

LOS ANGELES: Shout! Factory and ZAG have signed a distribution agreement to bring the new animated adventure series Miraculous Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir to the home entertainment market in the U.S. and Canada.

The multiyear partnership gives Shout! the exclusive U.S. home entertainment distribution rights (DVD and Blu-ray) and select digital rights in Canada to all 26 episodes of Zag Heroez’s Miraculous Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. Shout! is planning a strategic rollout of the show this year through the company’s kids’ and family entertainment imprint, Shout! Factory Kids.

Miraculous Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir centers on a 13-year-old girl who magically transforms into a superhero named Ladybug. The show currently airs on Nickelodeon in the U.S., TF1 in France, ABC in Australia and EBS in Korea. It will soon be debuting on Disney Channel in EMEA and Latin America, SUPER! in Italy, Tele-Quebec in Canada, Gloob in Brazil, TVNZ in New Zealand, Proximus TV in Belgium, RTS in Switzerland and LRT in Lithuania.
